Mini Jamboree

Participate or behold innovative projects in the field of synthetic biology!

On the 7th of October 2024 the Mini Jamboree for the BeNeLux and Germany will take place! Save the date and stay tuned for more updates! What is the Mini Jamboree like? See for yourself with the summary of the Mini Jamboree 2023.

On the 23rd of October 2023 the Mini Jamboree 2023 has taken place!

The Mini Jamboree is an annual competition organized by our TU-Eindhoven team. The Mini Jamboree is a spin-off from the official worldwide iGEM Grand Jamboree and takes place in Eindhoven just before the Grand Jamboree. A perfect opportunity for iGEM teams (that are close to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany) to practice their pitch one more time in front of a big audience and a jury. Allowing them to fine-tune their pitch and receive feedback from scientists and students in the field of synthetic biology and engineering!

We would like to congratulate the winners of the Mini Jamboree 2023 on their prizes.

Winner Best Project – iGEM Aachen with their project RareCycle where they can extract and recycle the special metals in electrical components using fungi.

Special Prize Winner – iGEM Hamburg with their project transFERRITIN in which they transport antibiotics in vesicles and can specifically target a pathogen and thus reduce side effects of antibiotics.

We want to thank all the 2023 Mini Jamboree sponsors: Cell4Pharma, Promega, BIOKÉ, Pivot Park and Qiagen, for making this day possible.
